We are the premier provider in Wyoming, offering biology and evidence-based practices with alternative options that can stand alone or be combined with traditional therapy to increase the success our clients experience.
Brain Advancement Center (BAC) opened for business in 2019 and has steadily grown. Tammi Miller and partner Tammy Cooley are the co-owners and founders of our center. Along with the staff, they have combined experience in the mental health field of more than 60 years. The mission of BAC is simple. We strive to help as many people as possible reach their goals. Our client’s health and well-being must be our top priority to do this. From the services we offer to the therapists and support staff we hire, all of our decisions are made with our client’s best interests and holistic wellness in mind.
Brain Advancement Center offers traditional counseling services and cutting-edge techniques, such as neurofeedback with Brain Trainer and Bio-Tuning, to increase our client’s overall success. We have found that the results are remarkable when we focus on what is important to each person individually and offer multiple treatment solutions. We have counselors trained in various methods, including EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, DBT, and play therapy. We are also one of the only organizations in Wyoming offering executive training options through a combination of behavior therapy, games, and neurofeedback to decrease the negative symptoms associated with traumatic brain injuries, Autism, and ADHD.
Regardless of your current situation, Brain Advancement Center is committed to helping you achieve your best life, whatever that is for you. We don’t focus on your diagnosis. Instead, we focus on the symptoms that bother you and partner with you to reach your goals.
At Brain Advancement Center, we offer unique skills training to increase executive functioning. Many disorders, especially in childhood, disrupt the development of the frontal lobe, which negatively impacts a person’s ability to do things such as focus, concentrate, establish and follow routines, complete tasks with multiple steps, begin and follow tasks through to completion, and regulate emotions. People with poor executive functioning often struggle to complete tasks on time, manage time and money, ignore distractions, control their temper, and learn new skills. Executive functioning tends to be especially problematic for those diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), high functioning Autism, and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Brain Advancement Center helps you tackle these problems through various strategies, including education, behavior training, cognitive games, neurofeedback, and parent training (when necessary).
Brain Advancement Center is a safe space and ally for those in the LGBTQIA+ community. We understand that the LGTBQIA+ community faces unique challenges. We can help with exploring your gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, and/or your decision to come out to those around you. We also can help with identifying and managing depression, anxiety, or gender dysphoria.
Brain Advancement Center offers several proven and effective, holistic, and alternative approaches to care that can be standalone services or combined with other therapies to help improve mental and physical health. Stress reduction and pain management are two examples of how we use the mind, body, and soul connection to affect the quality of life for our clients. With a deep understanding and regard for human behavior, our team supports people in implementing the best strategies and interventions for them. Our goal is for our clients to confidently overcome life’s challenges, increase self-awareness, increase confidence and self-worth, be better able to effectively regulate their own emotions and thoughts, and bring about positive changes in their lives.
